
VON Oxford Community Corporation
We are a not-for-profit charitable organization that financially supports the programs and services offered by VON Oxford. VON Canada is in a sense its parent corporation and acts as the umbrella body.
As with any organization, VON Canada needs individuals to act on its behalf to carry out its objectives. These individuals are Community Corporation Volunteers. The VON Oxford Community Corporation members are Oxford County residents from all walks of life who volunteer their time. The Community Corporation plays a vital role in supporting VON Oxford’s Fund Development team to support fundraising opportunities, create a positive donor experience and produce the most successful outcomes possible.
1. Jeremy Toth, Volunteer Chair
Jeremy is an Investment Specialist and Financial Planner with Scotiabank, covering the Stratford, Tavistock, and surrounding areas. He is owner and operator of Braemar Hills Farm with his wife Angela Langlois, located North East of Embro, specializing in locally grown produce. Jeremy joined the VON Community Corporation in March of 2018.
2. Marjorie Wilson
Marjorie joined the VON Community Board in June of 1991. Prior to her retirement, she was a Registered Insurance Broker at Jamieson-Hilts Insurance Co., with more than 35 years of experience. Marjorie’s devotion to volunteerism and giving back to her community are evident. She currently holds the position as Secretary for the Community Corporation.
3. Wayne Smith
Wayne has been with the VON Community Corporation since April of 1983. Prior to his retirement, he was a Respiratory Therapist at Woodstock General Hospital. He previously served as a member of the Community Corporation Development Committee and the Sakura House Campaign Cabinet.
4. Ian McAskile
Ian is President of Maglin Site Furniture Inc., a manufacturing company created and grown in Woodstock over the past 30 years. Ian is a life-long Woodstock resident and has been involved in a number of local organizations. Ian joined the VON Community Corporation in November of 2011.
5. Patrice Hilderley
Patrice is retired from the position of Director of Administrative Services for the City of Woodstock. Patrice is delighted to be involved with VON Oxford and continuously looks forward to making a positive contribution to this highly regarded agency. Patrice joined the VON Community Corporation in February of 2015.
6. Jill Roberts
Jill is the Sales Manager at Maglin Site Furniture Inc., and has supported VON Sakura House for a number of years as a proud member of the Handbags for Hospice Planning committee, including acting as chair on the committee. Jill joined the VON Community Corporation in November of 2024.
7. Bill Stephens
Bill brings over four decades of leadership experience in public safety and community service. A former Superintendent with the Windsor Police Service and Director of the Ontario Police College, Bill has also dedicated much of his life to volunteer leadership. He has chaired multiple school councils, served on the Board of Governors at St. Clair College, and contributed to numerous community organizations. Bill currently serves as serves as Vice President and Partnership Coordinator with London Community Artists. His volunteer record also includes roles with Marseveral advisory committees related to public safety, education, and health care. Bill is a life member of multiple professional policing associations and continues to share his experience through governance, mentorship, and advocacy. His broad perspective and long-standing dedication make him a valuable asset to the Oxford Community Corporation. Bill joined the VON Oxford Community Corporation in May 2025.
